Battle Creek Public Schools partners with The University of Olivet

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS) is excited to announce a new partnership with the University of Olivet that will grant eligible students automatic admission and additional scholarship funding through the Olivet Direct! Program.

"This partnership with the University of Olivet is a testament to our commitment to ensuring every Bearcat has access to exceptional postsecondary opportunities," said Dr. Kimberly Carter, Superintendent of Battle Creek Public Schools. "By removing barriers to college admission and providing financial support through scholarships, we are empowering our students to dream bigger and achieve more. Together with the University of Olivet, we are paving the way for brighter futures for our graduates and our community."

By signing this agreement, the University of Olivet and BCPS commit to ensuring that eligible BCPS graduates are automatically admitted to the University of Olivet upon meeting the following criteria:

• Complete the University of Olivet application for admission.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 high school GPA.
• File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list the University of Olivet in the first position (#002308).

Eligible BCPS graduates already have up to 100% of their tuition covered at the University of Olivet through the Bearcat Advantage and the Michigan Colleges Alliance Partnership. With the Olivet Direct! Program, qualifying BCPS graduates who are not eligible for the Bearcat Advantage will now have the opportunity to access the Olivet ADVANTAGE Scholarship. This scholarship ensures coverage of at least the published tuition and general fees for the first academic year. The University of Olivet ADVANTAGE Scholarship is renewable for up to four years.
